Official documents and guidelines
The sovereign body within egta is the General Assembly. Its text of reference is the egta statutes initially adopted in 1990 and last modified in 2005 (French version of the egta statutes) .
One of egta's missions is to give a common “voice” to sales houses. For this reason, egta has formulated guidelines on the position of sales houses in the advertising industry on certain topics of importance. Such guidelines are officially adopted by egta members at the association's Annual General Meeting and can be used as a reference and source of inspiration for egta members in their national activities.

Examples of such official documents are:
- the egta ethical charter
- the egta blue print on the future of television audience measurement
- the guidelines on commercial communications on interactive services
Please contact an egta team member should you have any questions on these documents.
After much consultation with the relevant experts within all member sales houses, egta also drafts position papers on topics which are at the heart of the television and radio advertising industry. These documents are regularly promoted and made available to members.
