Philip Maes is the self-styled “Godfather of Radio”, an advertising guru of many years experience and owner ofThe Mafia, a collective of freelance advertising specialists covering every aspect of the business. The recipient of numerous industry awards, Philip counts in his copywriting credits work for such notable clients Veridor, Kriek Belle-Vue, Spa, Pepsi, KBC, H&M, A.S. Adventure and a host of others. Philip has worked for the agencies DMB&B, Grey, Moors Bloomsbury, VVL/BBDO and as Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi. Philip is also a creative partner of Eardrum. |

Ralph van Dijk is the co-founder and Creative Director of Eardrum, an agency specialising in writing, producing and directing radio commercials and creative sound content for radio and the Internet. Ralph’s career in advertising started in New Zealand in the late 1980s before taking him to London, where he was appointed Creative Director of commercial speech station LBC and set up Eardrum. In 2006, Ralph moved to Australia and founded Eardrum’s Australasian office. Ralph has written and directed campaigns for clients including Vodaphone, Telstra, Continental and the Australian Government, and he has worked with some of the world’s leading media agencies including McCann Erickson, BMF, JWT, DDB and Singleton Ogilvy & Mather. In addition to advertising, Ralph has written comedy radio shows for the BBC and commercial radio and he wrote sketches and speeches for John Cleese’s recent Australian tour. |
