In this session of the egta Outcomes Community, Samir Modha, Commercial Measurement Innovation Lead at ITV, opened the newly relaunched working group with a live interactive poll designed to map where members actually stand on outcomes measurement before diving into the work. Rather than running standard introductions, Samir asked the group to weigh in on how their colleagues feel about platforms measuring business outcomes, how comfortable they are discussing the topic technically, how their organizations are structured around data and commercial teams, and how far along they are on their own outcomes journey. The polling revealed a group far more receptive to outcomes work than expected, though still mixed on technical confidence and organizational maturity, with attitudes toward competing broadcasters ranging from guarded to collaborative. The session then moved into a practical example from the field, with Tim from Canal+ sharing real world results and the group agreeing to use a shared Google group between meetings, with plans for a future white paper and the next session set for early December.
